It is obvious to all Americans that the current health care situation is not working, but what is not so micturate is what we can do about it. Our new president has proposed a plan that needs approximately serious revision. He has had few big problems with some of the more outlandish parts of his proposed circular (i.e. federally funded abortions (Gilgoff), and end of life consultation (Clark, Goler)). Though some of the problems have been fixed, many more have yet to be resolved. Many Americans express concerns that the U.S. is heading towards programs like the Canadian healthcare system, or similarly, Britains NHS, with a single-payer mandate where healthcare is confine on a national level (British healthcare…). In this paper, I am going to take a look at some of the other world healthcare systems, and try to see what is going wrong, what is going right, and what we can carry from them. Cheryl Baxter is a Canadian resident who had some trouble with her healthcare in Canada. She is just emerging from an eight year nightmare, toilsome to deal with her osteoarthritis.
