The Increase in Natural Disasters
Natural disasters can overwhelm a community and these disasters ar on the rise (figure 1 Quantifying inseparable disasters by role of disaster on an annual basis)! While global deaths caused by natural disasters in the tenner 1983-1992 are down by 38% when compared to the following decade of 1993-2002, people affected by natural disasters have increase 54% when anyone compares the same two decades.
