I would like to teach for many reasons, iodine being to introduce people to art and pass on my experience and knowledge to others. I was introduced to the arts possibly by and by than most and it had a profound effect on me. I enjoyed adult teaching method and being a full-blown student I felt I was able to make more of a contribution. Having worked at the Shakespears Globe Theatre for a number of years I was involved in the education de vocalismment assisting with workshops and tours involving a wide range of ages and cultures. It was here that I was introduced to a broad spectrum of the arts from literature to theatre etc.As I suffer from Epilepsy it was suggested that art therapy may help to control my condition, which at that time was not completely under control.
I consequently began to travel and spent time in Africa and Croatia and spent 2 years in Denmark before returning to the UK.During my time afield I began to work and exhibit with other artists, where I gained of import experience using different mediums as well as curating and organising events.
On returning to the UK and working as an artist ,I tended to(p) an Access Course to broaden my skills as an artist and was advance by my Tutors to apply for a Degree Course in Fine Art. I was accepted by the London metropolitan which I completed in 2008.
Greenwich University appealed to me because of its reputation and standards, also the course contents suits my requiements.Having been offered a place on Camberwell College of Arts MA course in Printmaking , I have decided to sidestep this so I bay window complete a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education so that I can teach and do my MA on a part time basis.
