Gullivers Travels, by Jonathan Swift, is a hold that describes the adventures had by a sailor during 4 contrasting voyages at sea. The book can easily be compared to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, mainly because the protagonists in both books go on adventures along bodies of water, experiencing novel things. The protagonist of Gullivers Travels has his adventures due to voyages by sea, landing at different islands, whereas Huckleberry Finn travels down the path of the Mississippi River. Both protagonists take care very different things, but also change themselves as their book progresses.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn centers on the life of a young male child living in the United States. He loves to shell dirty, and hates get dressed correctly and acting sivilized, (as he calls it), and despises going to school. His adventures begin when his take comes back to town and kidnaps him. He manages to escape by represent his own murder and leaving his father behind afterwards finding a canoe floating down the river. He eventually meets a salve he knew who was sold to somebody else, who joins him on his journey. However, in Gullivers Travels, the protagonists reasons for travelling are completely different.
Their characters are also quite different as well, where Huck was more comfortable being dirty, Gulliver is a civilized Englishman who is well verses in several different languages and takes primp in his wealth and profession as a manual laborer and surgeon. His journey begins when he finds himself unable keep up complete wealth with his current profession, and decides to turn to seafaring. Due to an accident with the ship, which drop down due to a crash, he landed on an island, which famed the first of 4 voyages he would make where he went to funny lands, each time seeking more wealth.
