Organizational decision-making is an even more complex phenomenon involving many variables. Nonetheless, it has been suggested that the psychosocial aspects of decision-making, be they individual or organizational, need to be considered during the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of health care informatics (Bath, 2008; de Lusignan, 2003). The purpose of this paper is to describe two types of health care information systems and debate the impact of their effect on organizational decision-making in the linguistic context of health care. Recommendations for implementation and improvements will also be discussed.
