wisdom Colleges Cultural Show Marks Teachers Day Sunday, 04 October 2009 06:31 0Share Bandar Seri Begawan - Marking the great contribution and efforts made by their teachers, students of Paduka Seri Begawan grand Turk Science College (MSPSBS) took a day off from their studies yesterday to hold back Teachers Day and Hari Raya Aidilfitri. In celebration and appreciation of their teachers, the students entertained the hearing with dance and drama performances at the Science Colleges auditorium based on the two festive themes. The event was attended by leaf node of honour MSPSBS Acting Principal Dk Sarimah Pg Hj Ahmad, along with teachers and staff of the Science College. In her devoteing remarks, the acting principal stressed the richness of respecting and appreciating teachers who have continuously dedicated their time and effort to inform their pupils. Success in academia would not be achieved without the ripe guidance and presence of teachers who additionalise in their particular region or subject, she said. She also reminded students to take full advantage of this special day to foster closer relationships with the teachers and staff of the college.

Speaking on celebrating the Hari Raya season, plc Sarimah told the students to tone down their celebrations and to empathise with those who have lost their love ones. As an addition to the celebrations, the college also opened all its schoolroom doors so that classes can individually host a one-of-a-kind open classroom for teachers and students of the college. When visiting each classroom, the acting principal was greeted by the warm hospitality of the students who had brought traditional Malay food from hearthstone to add to the festivities. Students were seen dressed in their traditional Malay attire, hosting their guests with the backup of Hari Raya melodies from the colleges public announcement system.
