Introduction
Toyotas strategy consists of manufacturing the volume of its products in Japan and exporting them to the worldwide market. This strategy carries with it about threats, which include an exposure to win over rate risk. In its day-to-day operations the company deals with a fall of currencies which is complemented by exchange rate risks; specifically consummation, translation and operating exposure.
Unlike Toyota, its competitors (Honda and Nissan) do not concentrate their production in Japan. This poses a number of problems to the company, the main one being, its sensitivity to the fluctuation of the Japanese pine specifically with the U.S. dollar and Euro.
